thereuare
Welcome to BetterBidding! What is your maximum bid? We wouldn't want to suggest a strategy that went higher than you wanted to spend. Gussi
Would be willing to spend a maximum of $140 per room. Thanks also for your fast answer!! Link to comment
thereuare
Rates are a little high for your date above, and while i do think you may be successful up to your limit, i also think that you would better chances and have a chance at a lower rate if you also include the NMA zone.Is there a reason you are avoiding that area or do you want to include that in a bidding strategy?Let us know and we'll advise accordingly. Gussi
I would aslo be willing to include the area.I would also be glad if the price would be lower than $120. (or what do you hink would be a reasonable price). The price on hotwire was something about $125 for 4* category, but I have herad that 4* at howire would be maybe 3-3.5* at priceline.Thank you. thereuare
The price on hotwire was something about $125 for 4* categoryI too saw that hotel, but it only appears for me when i searched for one room... not for four.Did you see the above when searching for four rooms? (as this will help determine where your maximum bid should be) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
Gussi
I found the price which I mentioned above only for 3 rooms today.I think the day before yesterday I got the same price for four rooms, but I am not quite sure. Link to comment
thereuare
Let's give this a shot first as follows...You have two re-bid zones available at the 4* level, if you're not familiar with re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board.Select 4* Loop...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* NMA...Bid $80, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $90, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $100, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* Loop and NMA...Bid $110, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $115, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $120.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. Gussi
Unfortunately the strategy didn't work...Does someone has any other suggestions to get a comfortable accomodation for less than $120 downtown?ThanksMarkus Link to comment
thereuare
Are you willing to split the group into 2 rooms at two different locations?Other options would be increase you bid, lower your star rating, or select a nearby zone. Gussi
Some things have changed and now I need only 3 rooms. I have tried my bids also with a 3 room request.Do you think that I would have more success if I will split up the rooms? Link to comment
thereuare
Not likely...It may have made a different when Hotwire was showing a $125 rate for 3 rooms but not for 4... but now all offerings are $200+ even when searching for one room. It's also slightly less advantageous now, as if you get different properties than somebody will be by themselves... whereas when you had four rooms each room would have been with another at the same property.
