I am looking to grab a 3.5 star or higher pretty much in these areas:MteMtwTsEmpire stateCentral park WestMsgCPeCowDo you think its too early to start bidding?Also what would be a considered a good deal? I am also looking for a hotel preferably less then 10 mins away from a subway. And also what do you think my bidding strategy should be?Should I start at 100 for those areas?Thanks!!

What is your maximum bid for this trip? Did you want to first try for a 4* up to your limit, then if rejected try for a 3.5*... Beecatdog Posted September 1, 2013 Author Report Posted September 1, 2013 Sorry, the zones we are looking for is:central park southhells kitchenmidtown westtimes sqmidtown eastmsgempire state areachelseaour max bid would be 150 and we are looking somewhere we can be near a train station (at least 10 min walk max)the closer to TS the better but its not a big factor, we are looking to save, but we are willing to try 4* or higher then reduce down to 3.5*.Thanks!
Beecatdog Posted September 1, 2013 Author Report Posted September 1, 2013 using your HOTWIRE link we found a 3.5 hotel in msg for $159.00. not sure if we should bite on this if we can save money using priceline.Also we ended up staying in a 4* hotel near that area called the new yorker, and the rooms were tiny. are they all like this?Thanks.

The way to determine the highest star rating offered in the zone is by selecting the first zone i the list, then scrolling down to see the highest star rating selectable (ie- not greyed out). NEXT UNcheck the selected zone, place a checkmark in the next zone, and repeat the process for each zone in the region.
