Priceline Hotel: 4* San Francisco (SOMA - Moscone Center) Palomar San Francisco, a Kimpton Hotel

Used BiddingHelper.com.com as always to score this deal.

* Began bidding optimistically @ $85. 4* USE+SOMA. There are too many questionable properties in USW, so I left that one out.

* Rebid in varying increments up to $135. Dropped USE at that point because there was a Hotwire deal for the substandard Sir Francis Drake at $152. Would rather press my luck with the SOMA hotels, which are all generally good.

* Began new bidding session w/ rebids in increments of $5.

* Bid accepted on my last available bid @ $185 by the Palomar with no counteroffers.

* Retail rate was $329. AAA rate of $295.

I like the Palomar a great deal, though this is a little more than I would prefer to pay for it. This is though much lower than the retail rates that the Palomar has been commanding as of late, which seem way overpriced to me.

To make up for it, I plan on helping myself to more wine at the wine reception. ;)
