Hotwire Hotel: 5* Chicago (Magnificent Mile Area - River North) The Langham Chicago

I am trying to get Chicago Millennium Park/NMA. Recently bid up to $200 for 4* and got rejected. Any advice??

Did you bid up to $200 for a 4* in both the Millennium Park and River North-NMA areas? I'm a little surprised that $200 wasn't accepted - I'm seeing what appears to be the new 5* Langham on HOTWIRE for $221 and a new/not yet ID'd 4* (possibly the Raffaello?) for $185. Rates are otherwise on the high side for these date/s, unfortunately.

Yes I made the $200 bid on both of those area. The 221 for Langham actually goes to 237.22 when you click on it.

There's a 4* in the Gold Coast area on HOTWIRE for $185 that hasn't been ID'd/reported to the board - it may be something else, but I'd guess it may be the Rafaello - would that be of interest?

Aaron, I have considered that Gold Coast option....but for the extra $40 is it worth taking the risk out and staying at Langham? Whats going on next week in Chicago? I can's believe how expensive that week is compared to say this coming week.

I noticed prices going up so I booked the Langham for 224 on Hotwire (The 5* Chicago Magnificent Mile Area - River North)

I think this is actually a really, really good deal for new property in a great location; the hotel website has the lowest rate at $400 a night.
