Priceline Hotel: NYC 4 guys bidding help

Hello!

I'm trying to grab 1-2 hotel rooms for Oct 4th to 5th. There are 4 guys so far (bachelor party.) Soho area is ideal but i don't know much about any of the other zones. 4 beds is ideal, but that is not a must. So we could make do with 2 beds in 1 room and bunk up / roll in a cot and have someone sleep on the floor...

I don't know what the best strategy to do this would be. A straight bid on Priceline? Or I see that Priceline has Express Deals and on some of them you can select beds.

Alternatively, if we were to get 2 rooms, if we bid on Priceline, we're not guaranteed rooms in the same hotel...

Any thoughts or bidding suggestions?

If you bid for two rooms in one transaction on PRICELINE, you will end up in the same hotel if you win. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?

Thanks Aaron! I've got a lot of things i'm looking at across the web but there are so many possibilities. PRICELINE is pretty attractive, IF we can score a deal better than just booked a double bed 4* room in soho (average looks to be $450+)

Not positive, but $200 per guy per night is probably a good max. So depending on # of rooms or sleeping surfaces per room, it can vary on total $$ per room. 2 guys per room, $400 is fine (lower is better of course.)
