Priceline Hotel: 4* Vancouver (Coquitlam - Burnaby) Hilton Vancouver Metrotown

Goal was to stay closer to downtown(if not in downtown without paying top dollar).

I fist tried all downtown/near downtown Vancouver locations for 5/4.5/4* locations from 80-110 dollars(not expecting to win it of course) but wanted to set the stage for winning 4* star hotel as close as possible to Vancouver. I didn't like the 4* hotels near airport for about the same cost( or a bit more) so gambled in burnaby.

After getting rejected for all downtown locations, i bid for 76 and won this 4* hotel. Trip advisor has good ratings so looking forward to it. :) We got a room with a king bed, which was sufficient for the 2 of us. This room rate doesn't include breakfast :( . I prefer breakfast included as it saves time and money, especially, if you have a family.

Also, I booked this 1 day in advance, if that helps any.

Fyi-These are USD prices.

Total process took approximately 1hr including research etc.

For comparison, I booked fairfield inn and suites at langley 3 weeks ago for 67 which included breakfast but was another 30 minutes away. Decent hotel( not good as this one), good breakfast (included) and free parking. I think this one you have to pay 10 for parking, I prefer this one this time as i am staying in Vancouver while last time I was headed to banff - so that worked out well for me.
