Hi,

I need a hotel from oct 2-7 2013 in la. I really want the ritz or other fabulous hotelbut think it will be a small fortune. Thoughts? What are your guesses for 4.5* hotels?

My ideal Max is $240 a night but if I can score the W for $90... I'll grab that!

I'm flexible, but want nice! What are the 5* priceline or hotwire hotels? Do I have a chance at a 5* with my budget? What do you suggest?

Thanks!

You can see all hotels reported to the board in the Priceline and Hotwire Hotel Lists.

On PRICELINE the only zone that currently offers 4.5* and 5* bidding is the Beverly Hills zone... is this the zone (and only zone) that you're currently looking to bid?

HOTWIRE is currently offering what appears to be the 5* Mr. C Hotel a little over your stated budget for $259/nite... and has what looks like the 4.5* Mondrian Hotel for $192/nite.

Are either of the above of interest or if you want to move forward with PRICELINE please confirm which zone(s) you're willing to accept and we'll take it from there.

If I can grab the mondrian for 192, I'll do that! Use the bidding HOTWIRE link? Which location so I chose? Put in 4.5*?

Also, my sister in LA told me to grab the Hollywood hotel if possible as is super close to her. Any ideas or strategies for getting that as a backup? Any clue about the price?

Like I said, mondrian would be amazing! If I can figure out how to strategize that, I'd be thrilled!

Hotwire has a 5 star in Santa Monica-venice-marina del ray for 151eur a night. What do you think that is? Is In euro because I'm in Europe right now . There is also 198 euro/ night for 5 star in Beverly Hills/West Hollywood.

Thanks for your cool and helpful service!

Please change the drop down menu on the top right of HOTWIRE's page to United States and the currency dropdown to US Dollars. Then continue to search HOTWIRE and post to the board in US Dollars so that rates are consistent and not subject to interpretation due to future currency fluctuation. Once you're ready to purchase stay on the US version of their site and simply change the drop down menu to whatever currency you'd like to use and complete your purchase.

What is the room rate per nite in US dollars and the full set of amenities associated with the property(s) above?

Are the two properties above more appealing than what is believed to be the Mondrian for $192/nite?

Whoops! I got the dates wrong! Its nov 2-7 2023, not Oct!

It seems like prices have really jumped! What do you suggest as a Strategy for getting a 4* on Hollywood or West Hollywood?

The W is listed at over $300 which really surprised me!

they offered it to me so this was done w/out bidding

seeing as all the rooms/ lobby/ bar will be renovated by mid oct, i figured this would be a great deal for me! I get a brand new room at a discounted rate!

I checked the listed amenities list on your site and it matched what I was seeing so I pretty much knew I was getting this hotel.

i used your PRICELINE link.

Thanks a lot... now I just need a car ;)
