Priceline Hotel: 4*Main Strip

I am looking for a 4* hotel on the Las Vegas strip for the dates of 2/19/06 - 2/24/06. Any help in bidding would be appreciated. My sense is that I am starting to bid too early that is why my bids are being rejected. I am not the type to try and book a vacation 1 month before I go. This is my first attempt at using priceline and if they can't meet my expectations I will take business elsewhere.

First bid of $99 was rejected. Re-bid of $110 was rejected. Used priceline.com

There is a 115K person convention during your stay which is increasing prices.

How about TREASURE ISLAND for $147/nite?

I was wondering why that week was more than the others. Maybe I should choose other dates for my trip would you agree? Do you think Vegas will be way over crowded with this convention in town. I am open to any other suggestions as well. Thanks.

While there is almost always some convention going on in Vegas, 100K is a large convention for any city, and i suspect it will certainly be "more crowded than usual" (although i'm sure everyone has their own idea of what "too crowded" is)

The rate at Treasure Island is not bad considering the large number of people coming to town, but it's question of if you'd rather be there during a busy or slow time (some prefer it when it's busy as they feel it has more 'action')
