I started my bidding at £34, increasing by £2 a time and covering Central Canals and City Centre (therefore £4 increase per day). I was hoping for a very cheap deal, having seen some of the NH Centre deals recently, but hadn't realised Amsterdam would be so busy with the Techno Festival and the Marathon. My first choice would always be the Amrath, but the NH Centre is my second favourite and I was just pleased not to be at the Barbizon Palace!

So for 4 nights, £294 in total, not a steal but half the price of the cheapest deal available. I just wonder why the Movenpick doesn't seem to be playing anymore, they were always good for a bargain!

I like the approach, but point out the A North is a free rebid at 4*, giving you the opportunity to do 4 bids a time.

Agree with the Amrath, and am staying there later this week, bought by a conventional (non-bid) site at a good rate.

What I don't understand is the title: $64. GBP294 is about USD460, suggesting that the right figure is about $100.
