Priceline Hotel: Bidding help 9/14/13 - 9/17/13

Staying in Vegas 9/14-9/17 and would like to stay in 5* or 4* hotel on either North or South Strip (excluding Trump hotel) paying a maximum of $500 for all 3 nights. Would it be possible to get a 5* or 4* hotel at that rate for those dates? I have tried bidding up to $140/ night for the past few weeks and all bids have been denied. Would it be better for me to wait to closer to the travel dates? This seems very unrealistic to not be able to get a hotel for that price after seeing some of the other winning bids.

Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

A "non-Trump" 5* in the N/S strip is unfortunately not going to be realistic for these date/s for $500 for all 3. It MAY be possible at the 4* level although it will likely be difficult. Have you tried bidding up to $140 at both the 4* and 5* levels?

Rates are date specific and there is a big boxing match in Vegas this weekend.

I did just notice their is a boxing title match there this weekend. Should of done my research before booking this weekend. I have tried bidding for both a 4 and 5* at $140 and been denied. Any other advice with bidding weekends of big events?
