Priceline Hotel: 3* Tacoma (Olympia) Red Lion Hotel Olympia

Used your link to access PRICELINE. Started Name Your Own Price bidding 3* in Tacoma Olympia at $50. Bid rejected, but I did get a pop-up offering to raise my bid to $66 to secure a 3* in Olympia. Clicked on the "continue bidding" link and added Buckley (no 3* in that area). Upped bid to $55. Rejected , but got the same pop-up offer. Clicked on the "continue bidding" link and added Lacey (no 3* in that area). Upped bid to $59 and it was accepted. Red Lion's PRICELINE rate is listed as $159 a night. I probably could have taken more time to creatively bid to get a few dollars lower, but it was 1:30 in the morning and our flight to Washington left in just a few hours. :-) Very happy with our bid. The rooms are nicely equipped with two large comfy queens (or a king, if you prefer), the staff is friendly, the location is perfect. The hotel has an on-site restaurant but there are numerous restaurants within a few miles, and you can purchase groceries nearby to stock the room's mini-fridge to save even more on expenses. Room comes with coffee maker and microwave, too.

I also used PRICELINE to bid on a NYOP rental car, which I was able to snag for the week for less than half the best AAA rate I could find.

Heading up to Seattle tomorrow. I guess I better hit Priceline again tonight.
