burdettemj Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 Taking a weekend getaway to Chattanooga for my wife's birthday. Just won the Downtown Marriott using the PRICELINE link here at BetterBidding. The listed price on Priceline was $119 so I started with a lowball bid of $50 but it was rejected. Deal came back to increase bid to $62 so I did and was accepted. I really wanted to stay at the Delta Queen Hotel there but cant beat this price. Can anyone tell me if parking costs there? I see they have velet parking so I may just do that if it cost to park anyway.
yellowdog Posted August 15, 2013 Report Posted August 15, 2013 Congratulations on your success! Thanks for using the PRICELINE links on the board to begin your bidding :) We hope you're satisfied with the outcome and will like the Marriott.Self parking fee: $10 per day Enjoy your stay.Yellowdog.
burdettemj Posted August 18, 2013 Author Report Posted August 18, 2013 The Chattanooga Downtown Marriott was everything you would expect a Marriott to be. No major disappointments and no major surprises. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were comfortable for my bad back. The only negatives I would list is that there was no fridge or microwave in room, and that it is a pretty good walk if you self park in the hotel parking garage as I did. And then there's that missing bathroom vent thing that few hotels seem to have. lol! We were out and about so we mainly used the room to refresh so we could go again, and to sleep the nights. There is lots to do in Chattanooga! This is a new weekend getaway spot for my wife and I! Over all, well worth the Priceline price of $62.
AaronJB Posted August 18, 2013 Report Posted August 18, 2013 Thank you for the follow-up review! Glad the hotel worked well and the stay was enjoyable.
