Welldone Rumproast
Hi tsk - I wasn't aware there was even a Westin in Princeton, but on checking the SPG site it turns out it's the former Princeton Marriott!! I stayed there just after opened (maybe 1990) and had an adventure where they sent me to *FIVE* different rooms that were already occupied. To apologize they gave me a future room comped - when I used the free night, I made a hotel employee go with me to verify that the room was unoccupied. THanks for making me aware of the change to Westin :) Link to comment
WillTravel
5 occupied rooms! That's hilarious, but must have been mortifying at the time. Link to comment
thereuare
Squeegeekid,Those are good rates, but i think a comparison to EWR is probably not apples-to-apples as i'd imagine the rental would be from a rental agency in Princeton and not at EWR.You may already know this, but i there is a shuttle van that goes from EWR to Princeton, i don't think it's very cheap, but may offer an alternative if your friend's parents don't want to rent a car (or would rather rent a car once in the Princeton area, if the savings are worth it when considering shuttle cost). Another option, if they're coming in to EWR is to take the train to Princeton or Princeton Junction, then take a short taxi ride to the hotel.Let me know if you need add'l details on either of the above.
