Hello!

My husband and I are going to Las Vegas at the end of September for business, but we've decided to stay through the weekend (9/27 and 9/28/13), but it's SO expensive that weekend for some reason. I was wondering if you could maybe help me ID a few hotels, and give me advice on whether or not to pay for a 5 star versus a 3 or 4 star! I'll click your Hotwire and PRICELINE links as soon as I post! Here's the ones I'm trying to figure out:

1. Hotwire- East of Strip area hotel- $89 3 star

casino

fitness center

pool

restaurant

business center

laundry facilities

golf nearby

accessible to the deaf

accessible path of travel

in-room accessibility

wheelchair accessible

accessible bathroom

handicapped parking

roll-in shower

2. Hotwire- The Strip- South area hotel $166 5 star

free parking

free internet

suite

smoke free rooms

fitness center

pool

business center

high-speed internet access

golf nearby

spa services

accessible to the blind

accessible to the deaf

accessible path of travel

in-room accessibility

accessible bathroom

roll-in shower

3. Priceline- Las Vegas Strip North $158 5 star

outdoor swimming pool

business center

9.0/10.0 rating

Thank you so much for the help!!!!

Welcome to Betterbidding.

I'd guess the 5* PRICELINE Express Strip North is a possible match for the Palazzo and the 5* HOTWIRE Strip South is likely a match for either the Vdara or Four Seasons. I'm not seeing a 3* EOS showing on HOTWIRE for these dates - are you still seeing it when searching? If so, how many people are you searching for?

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

Yes, I still see the $89 option when I search for 9/27 and 9/28 (2 nights) for 2 people. It stays the original amount was $184 and it's recommended by 85% of Hotwire customers.

Thank you so much for your help!! It is greatly appreciated.

Best guess would be Tuscany Suites and Casino.

Please remember to use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board and let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help with this stay.

Yellowdog.

PS. please remember to follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing for this trip, even if you don't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc.

Thanks! I ended up trying to book twice through Hotwire hot deals, and both times the system said the site was under maintenance and could not process my request. So, I gave up on Hotwire and "named my own price" at Priceline. I read about your re-bidding and how to bid, and then gave it a try! We decided that staying in a 4 star west of the strip (Rio or Palms) was a good option too (and probably cheaper). So, long story short, we are staying at the Palms for $110 a night, which I am perfectly happy with. Love your web site- thanks for your help!!
