Priceline Hotel: Strategy? 8/15, 4*+, 2 people,

What is a sound strategy for Priceline, 4*+ in SFO on 8/15 for 2 people? We are looking for an area that is relatively close to the action (have really never been). This is really just a quick stayover after a week in Napa.

After reading other posts, maybe I should have added more details...

We can go as high as 250$

Again we haven't been, but the action looks like in zones 1-5, 9, 12, 13. We will take public transportation wherever, so we need to be close to that...

Please provide the names of the zone/s that would be acceptable, as the zone numbers can change at any time - thanks. I think you can find something at $250 or under (HOTWIRE has a 4* for $229 in USW), but rates are certainly on the higher side for these date/s.
