Artlicious
Hello,I want to stay in a 4* hotel in Downtown St. Louis tonight. There is a PRICELINE EXPRESS deal for $77 plus tax. Should I just take that or would I have any luck placing a bid for around $60? If I go the bidding route am I taking a chance of not getting anything at all, since I am booking so last minute?'Thanks for your help,Richps. I really want the DoubleTree at Union Station, but won't be too disappointed if I get something else. Link to comment

Artlicious
clicked and read. and bummer, the PRICELINE EXPRESS Deal is no longer showing up ... :( and the bid deal on PRICELINE says: Guaranteed Amenities: Fitness Center, Business Center, Guest Score 7/10 or Higher Link to comment
thereuare
The guaranteed amenities shown on the bidding site are amenities that are offered at every hotel in the zone at that star level.... not for a specific property that you're bidding on. At this point in the bidding process PRICELINE has not even checked inventory for your dates yet.Is this just a one nite stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Artlicious
Yes, just for one night.Arg.. I knew I should have taken that deal as soon as I saw it.. I tried to bid on 4*'s and there are no more available :(.. Perhaps if I lower it to 3.5*'s I'll get something.. :( Link to comment
Artlicious
Well so much for that. I guess I'm staying home tonight.. LOL Oh well. I guess I shouldn't have hesitated.. maybe next weekend I guess.. :( Link to comment
AaronJB
I'll note that if you can bump it to next Saturday, rates are quite a bit cheaper. There's a 4* on HOTWIRE for $65; you could likely get a 4* on HOTWIRE in the $50-58 neighborhood, although given that you'd have time, you could even start in the mid-$40's.Let us know your thoughts.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
