Priceline Hotel: Suites in NY City

This is the first time I will be traveling to NYC with two young children. I am somewhat at a loss because it will be really uncomfortable to stay in just one hotel room. Do you have any suggestions for how I can use price line or Hotwire to get a deal on a suite or two connecting rooms?

A few suite options have occasionally been seen on HOTWIRE - the Doubletree Times Square and the Murray Hill East Suites are the main two examples. However, they aren't seen that often and there is only one listing per star rating per zone for each set of date/s. You could also consider two rooms if you don't want to have 3/4 people in one room.

What would be your desired budget per night/star rating for this stay? Additionally, what are the date/s of travel and which zone/s would be acceptable?

Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.

We are focused on west side anything from 40 to 80th street. I was thinking about 300 per night would be our max. probably 3.5 or better. August 31 departing Sept 2.

what hotel do you think this is? If it is the Best Western this could work for us....it is the fitness center that is throwing me off...

Just to close the loop on this we ended up going with a rental apt for the weekend. It is $375 per night which is more than I initially wanted to spend but it is a one bedroom in our desired location (UWS) so I guess no PL or HW this time around. Thanks so much. RG
