Started with 70 USD. At 80 USD I got a counteroffer for 98 USD.

Room Cost (avg. per room, per night): $85.00 (USD)

Number of Rooms: 1

Number of Guests Per Room: 2

Number of Nights: 2

Room Subtotal: $170.00 (USD)

Taxes and Fees: $27.60 (USD)

Total Charged to Card: $197.60 (USD)

(All prices are in US dollars)

Used the PRICELINE link. They have split the zones; it is now smaller and called "Castellana - Chamberi - Salamanca"

quick note: if you win this hotel don't be shocked by the F&B prices. They are ridiculously overpriced:

Breakfast: 38 EUR/person (50 USD)

Burger: 29 EUR (39 USD)

Coke from the minibar: 6,70 EUR (9 USD)

Coke in the restaurant: 9 EUR (12 USD)

Madrid is a relatively cheap city so I have no idea why this hotel charges more than hotels e.g. in London (which is a really expensive city).
