Final 2 bids were $80 for 3.5* (rejected), and then $82 for 3* was accepted.

For the future, note that it's not usually recommended to lower your star rating and increase your bid at the same time, as this can result in an overbid, as explained in this thread: If you lower star rating then lower your priceline bid.

I see your point. I probably should have added a little more context. The day before, I was rejected on a $77 2.5* bid, so when I tried the $80 3.5* the next day, I felt it was unrealistic. I figured the $5 increase ($82) for a 3.0* over a lower 2.5* bid was more realistic.

But you are right, since I have over 3 months, I should exercise a bit more patience as it is always nice to get the optimal price. :)
