Fortunately, it is currently the only four star in the zone, and none of the other Charlotte zones except downtown have four star hotels. The hotel website had rooms for $114 for this period. I started bidding at $57 and was declined. I kept adding $5 and adding other free rebid zones until getting the room for $72. The total price for the two nights was $178. HOTWIRE would have been $202 and the hotel website would have been $263.
