kiz5 Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Dates of Travel: Tues Sept 17 - Fri Sept 20Areas that we'd like: 1 - Copley Square / Back Bay2 - Quincy Market / Financial District3 - Boston Harbor Front / Aquarium4 - I believe Cambridge would also be reasonable, if its within the transit lines.Budget: $750 max, all in. Prefer in the $625 range.Type of Hotel: 3-star minimum, but prefer the better valued, better reviewed 4 star.Suggestions / order of how to bid? Appreciated.Always use the links to purchase and search as well.
thereuare Posted August 4, 2013 Report Posted August 4, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! The 'problem' with Cambridge is that both the Cambridge zones (east and west) are geographically large and outside of 'core' Downtown access to transit becomes a bit more sparse and spread out, so there is no assurance that you'll be within walking distance if you stay out in Cambridge.A 4* hotel for ~$210/nite (~$750 all-in) is possible, but more likely is a bit of a stretch at current prices (your $625 all-in budget is probably close for a 3.5* property).Did you want to try for a 4* hotel first? If so, should we exclude Cambridge? What about Bostom Common, is this zone acceptable as it is generally considered centrally located and convenient. Please confirm which zone(s) you'd like to include on your first round of (4 star?) bidding, as well as your maximum bid, and we'll suggest a strategy for you to follow. Thanks for using the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
