Priceline Hotel: 3* SF needed on 8/8

So I tried Priceline on my own and didn't get anything. I am looking for something under $150 in USE, USW, FD, FW, SOMA. I tried a bunch of different scenarios, but nothing was accepted. I went up to $120 and had maybe 6 locations checked. I thought about lowering to 2.5*, but thought that I would end up at the Mosser, whose rates are $151 already. I want a better deal than that! I will wait 24 hours and use your advice to try again.

There are quite a few event driven August dates in this area that causing hotel rates to spike, this nite being one of them.

Using MAPS and HOTELS.com what is the best rate you're able to find at an acceptable 3* or better rated hotel in one of these zones?

The best rate I can find on Hotels.com is $209 and that is for the King George Hotel in Union Square. Most 3* hotels that night are more in the $300 range. I'm willing to go down to 2.5* if I can get a good deal (I'd love to see $100) Your thoughts?

At current rates i think you're going to need to be around the $200+ area for anything 3* or higher... a 2.5* and under $100 doesn't seem realistic for your nite above at this time.
