tvstay
Any suggestions on a getting a cheaper rate than $207 for a 3.5* or higher hotel for these dates?Looking for anywhere near midtown. Thanks!Tim Link to comment
thereuare
Is the above rate thru Hotwire? If so, what is the hotel? As Priceline doesn't use a 3.5* in their rating system, would you set your minimum level at a 3* or a 4*? tvstay
It appears to be the following on your NY Pinned list for Hotwire3.5* Crowne Plaza Hotel ManhattanCustomer FavoriteAmenities: Restaurant, Pool, Fitness, Business Link to comment
thereuare
So is Priceline an option? If so, would you want to try to beat the $207 rate with a Priceline 3* or only a 4*? (since, as mentioned above, Priceline does not offer 3.5* bidding) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases Link to comment
tvstay
Sure - I would be willing to use Priceline and accept either a 3* or 4* hotel. I am also looking for 2 rooms for 1 person each. Link to comment
thereuare
I've included MTS in your bidding below, but am not sure if you wanted to include that area or not (look at the boundaries of this zone as it does extend a bit further south than "midtown"). If MTS is not an accepable zone for you than post back and we'll adjust accordingly. You have one re-bid zone available when bidding 3*, if you're not sure of your re-bid zone please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zone with the board before proceeding.Select 3* MTW...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTS...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* UM/CPS...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $150, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTS and UM/CPS...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE and MTW...Bid $160, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $170, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTS and MTW...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $180, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE and UM/CPS...Bid $175, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $180, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTS and UM/CPS and MTE...Bid $185, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $190, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTS and UM/CPS and MTW...Bid $185, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $190, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 3* MTE and MTW and MTS and UM/CPS...Bid $195, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $200Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. tvstay
Baby, Baby! :) Wow, you went to a lot of work explaining a strategy for this! And it paid off!I started at MTW for 3* and bid $140.00 and got rejected.I added Upper West Side and bid $150 and got ACCEPTED and they gave me a 4* Hotel.I won the Marriott Marquis in Times Square! Rack rate of over $450 for those same nights. And I couldn't find anything on Hotwire for under $270 for a 3.5* and I was ready to take it!Let's see - 2 nights, 2 rooms, savings of at least $120/room - that adds up to at least a $480 (not including taxes) savings. Wow again!Thank you so much! Now we can go see a great show in NY! Link to comment
