What do you mean with NYOP the resort fee was optional? Is that what your written confirmation states or is that what you were told at the front desk? Thanks.

Sorry for being unclear about my post.

I was told at front desk that $28 resort fee was optional for me, because of the way I booked the room.

The resort fee is supposed to cover self parking, turn down service, in-room wifi, and 2 bottles of water in room.

The things that I didn't get due to not paying resort fee were turn down service & in-room wifi.

The in-room wifi would've been $12 /day.

Do anyone know how other hotels handle resort fee with guests with NYOP win?

It will vary by hotel (and may vary by who you talk to), but resort fees (which are the same for those who pay full price) are usually not optional.
