CarrPitch Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Hi, there! I'm new to this site and am wondering how I will know if the Lenox is on Hotwire? Dying to stay there, but don't know how to find/book a room? Do I just go back and forth between the Hotwire hotel descriptions and those I find on BetterBidding to compare? I'll be in Boston from Thursday, August 22 to Sunday, August 25...Thanks in advance for your help!carrpitch
yellowdog Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding :) I'm sorry to say that we haven't see the Lenox hotel reported to the board through HOTWIRE in 2+ years. The last report we had is that the Lenox was rated 4* in the Back Bay - Copley Square zone.I took a look at HOTWIRE for your dates and the current hotel don't look anything like the Lenox.Let us know how we can help you further with your stay. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.PS. please remember to follow-up this thread with whatever you end up doing for this trip, even if you don't use PRICELINE or HOTWIRE, cancel the trip, book direct, etc.
AaronJB Posted July 29, 2013 Report Posted July 29, 2013 You can find the list of HOTWIRE properties that have been reported to the board in Boston here: Hotwire Hotel List Massachusetts, as well as the amenities that have been seen with each. Both services require flexibility in terms of where you may end up. With HOTWIRE, it's possible to make an educated guess as to which hotels are showing, but the issue is that only one hotel appears for each set of date/s in each zone. As noted above, some hotels are rarely seen as a win. If you are flexible with where you stay, please let us know your desired budget per night and which zone/s are acceptable.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
CarrPitch Posted July 30, 2013 Author Report Posted July 30, 2013 Thanks so much, AaronJB and Yellowdog, for your help! Too bad about the Lenox - looks like an awesome hotel! We're looking to stay in Copley Square, Boston Commons or the Quincy Market areas and are looking at a max of about $300 a night. We're flexible, provided the hotel is a four star or above.
thereuare Posted July 30, 2013 Report Posted July 30, 2013 I don't see your budget being much of a issue... both PRICELINE and HOTWIRE have 4.5* and 5* hotels in your desired zones at less than $250/nite (and 4* properties for even less). What exactly is it that you want from this stay... the highest rated hotel you can get within your budget, the least expensive 4* within your desired zones, a guess as to the hotel you may receive, etc? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
