Hello,

I am a new user and I want to find a good deal on a hotel for my trip to Chicago (Sept 5-10).

I want to stay in the Magnificent Mile/Loop area and have a 3+ hotel.

This is my second day of trying to bid and I keep getting rejected.

Any hints or tips as to what I am doing wrong?

Welcome to Betterbidding. :)

What would be your desired budget per night for this stay and what bids have you made so far in terms of star rating/price/zone (Mag Mile and Loop are separate zones on PRICELINE)?

It is the same zone on Priceline.

I have started at the 4 1/2 star rating and have lowered that standard down to 3 each round of my re-bid.

I have raised my budget from $60 to $120. I would be happy for $130 or less.

On PRICELINE, the downtown area is split into the Downtown-Loop-Grant Park zone and the River North-NMA zone. In either of these zone/s, $130 is not likely going to be enough, although $125 and $130 is certainly worth trying. A 4* in either zone is probably going to take more towards the $145-160 range.
