Priceline Hotel: Need help with bidding 5* Strip North

We'd like to stay at Vegas from Oct.19 to Oct.22 for 3 nights, 3 rooms. I checked the express deals, for the 5* strip north with casino and free parking, which I thought might be Venetian or Palazzo, the price was $203. But the price of the same secrect hotel during the same time was only $158 about 2 days ago.

So I'm thinking if I'm too early to bid? Any advice on the time of the bidding? I tried $165 and was denied. My budget is about $160 per night.

Thanks. I checked the express deals price for the 5* strip north hotel, and it was still $203. Maybe it will be better for me to bid one month later? It seems the price is very high during October. Will there be any big event at that time?

There are 2 bigger conventions in South zone that overlap your dates (10,000 + 12,000) so I'm pretty sure that block rooms are reserved for this.

I think you need to raise your budget a bit (not much) if you want to try to secure a room now in the North zone. You best bet would be South zone if you want to keep your budget.
