girliedee Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Hi I would like to book a hotel on the strip or close to the strip for about $120 or less.I would like a 5* or 4* or 3* hotel. Can anyone give me any suggestions? Would it be better for me to book with hotwire?
thereuare Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!I don't think you'll be successful with a $120 limit for this weekend... there is a boxing match in town which, among other things, may be driving up prices. girliedee Posted September 29, 2005 Author Report Posted September 29, 2005 I was checking hotwire and I found this when I search for North Strip.3* for $133:Selected amenities include: Casino, Restaurant(s), Pool(s), Business Center. Does anyone know which hotel this is?? Thanks!
thereuare Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 This is a match for, and most likely, Circus Circus.I saw it earlier but didn't consider to mention it as 1) most consider it less than 3*, and 2) it's not what most consider to be "the strip"If you're seriously considering this i think i would sooner look at The Boardwalk which can be had for an average of $140/nite and at least puts you in a much better on-strip location. (after Hotwire's fee will come up just about the same price) Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
girliedee Posted September 29, 2005 Author Report Posted September 29, 2005 Oh thank you! I just realized right now I placed this post in the Priceline section.. sorry. I just posted it in the Hotwire form.... no need to respond again. Thanks! I will look into Boardwalk. Thanks again!
thereuare Posted September 29, 2005 Report Posted September 29, 2005 You had posted it in the Hotwire section, but i merged the thread here :) We try to keep all posts for the same stay in the same thread (even if they request help for both services... we'll eventually move it to the proper forum once a result is obtained). Doing it this way keeps the board more orderly and it's easier for other users to see the thought process and options available. It also kees "unresolved" posts to a minimum since users would often only follow-up the thread with the 'win'... leaving the other post with no finish and future users wondering if the poster was ultimately successful or not. girliedee Posted October 3, 2005 Author Report Posted October 3, 2005 I ended up doing priceline in the airport region and I got Residence Inn for $65.I figured if I was going to book off the strip it didnt really matter where I was off the strip. Anyways I thought it was a good deal.
thereuare Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Was that your first bid in the zone? What was the star rating of the Residence Inn?
