Priceline Hotel: 4* Los Angeles (Downtown) Hilton Checkers

I wanted to stay at 4* Downtown for 1 night tomorrow (9/29/05)

1. bid $46 Downtown

2. bid $48 + Bel Air

3. bid $53 + Culver City

4. bid $56 + Hollywood

i got nothing. any suggestions? thanks for any help :)

i'm willing to go up to $100. my question is, since i've already tried bidding today, can i still go back onto priceline and bid again with higher amounts? or do i need to try hotwire?

You have a total of five re-bid zones when bidding 4* in Downtown Los Angeles... you have already used three of them.

DO NOT bid yet, but do you know the other two re-bid zone?

How to determine your re-bid zones is explained in this thread: PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED. Read thru the previous link and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board... we'll then suggest how to proceed.

ok, by the looks of it, there are 5 zones (bel air, hollywood, culver city, redondo beach, and santa monica) without 4* hotels around downtown la so basically after my initial bid, i can add a zone and increase my bid and do that up to 5 times...after which i'm stuck and have to wait 72 hours.

also, what's the usual rate that people get for a 4* hotel on a weeknight in downtown la?

So using your two 'new' re-bdi zones and your previous re-bid zones, you can bid as follows:

Select 4* Downtown and Redondo Beach...

Bid $60, if rejected add Bel Air

Bid $65, if rejected add Culver City

Bid $70, if rejected add Hollywood

Bid $75, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Downtown and Santa Monica...

Bid $80, if rejected add Bel Air

Bid $85, if rejected add Culver City

Bid $90, if rejected add Hollywood

Bid $95, if rejected close browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.

Select 4* Downtown and Santa Monica and Redondo Beach...

Bid $100.
