Priceline Hotel: New York City: Mid-town East/West

Sorry for asking on the other post. This request is for Priceline.

We are looking for the best bang for our buck on October 8. Is it possible to stay at a 5 star for this price?

If not, since someone else was able to get the 4 star Hilton New York for $120 on the first try, would you recommend we start at $100?

Your maximum bid of $130 is not realistic (even for a 4*).

Rates are date specific, which is why we asked you to post your own thread.... another user's win for 10/1/05 may have little to do with a win for your own stay (in this instance, 10/8/05).

To see what we mean, go to HILTON and check the rates for the Hilton New York on 10/1 and then check them again for 10/8... two very different scenarios.
