tanarpeti Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 I may have posted this in the wrong forum the first time. Can someone suggest a bidding strategy for anywhere in Manhattan for 2 night this weekend (9/31-10/2). We are looking for the best possible hotel up to $200/night.Thanks...
thereuare Posted September 28, 2005 Report Posted September 28, 2005 Welcome to BetterBidding!I'm assuming your topic title dates are correct and not the text in your message, as 9/31 is not a valid date.Rates for these dates are not at high at all and you should be able to get get a hotel well within your budget. You have two re-bids available at the 4* level, if you're not familiar with re-bidding please read PRICELINE RE-BIDDING EXPLAINED and freel free to ask any questions you have and/or comfirm your re-bid zones with the board before bidding. I would proceed as follows:Select 4* MTW...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close your browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTE...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close your browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* UM/CPS...Bid $120, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $125, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $130, if rejected close your browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and MTE...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected close your browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and UM/CPS...Bid $135, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $140, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $145, if rejected close your browser and re-access priceline however you did previously.Select 4* MTW and MTW and UM/CPS...Bid $150, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $155, if rejected add re-bid zone...Bid $160Any questions feel free to ask.Good Luck and let us know how it goes. tanarpeti Posted September 28, 2005 Author Report Posted September 28, 2005 Thanks for the quick response. We got the Hilton New York on our 1st bid for $120/night - $288 total for 2 nights with taxes. We will be sure to link throug your site again for future bids. We would have never got anything close to this without the bidding strategy. Thanks again!
