joshdacane Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Hi all - I'm not overly picky about where I stay, as long as it's well-regarded, so I've looked at a few highly recommended ones but am having trouble figuring them out. This is for a trip to NYC from 7/26 to 7/29 (3 nights).3.5*, Midtown Central, $116 - Amenities: Pet friendly, Smoke Free Rooms, Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access3*, Chelsea, $128 - Amenities: Fitness Center, High-Speed Internet Access4*, Chelsea, $151 - Amenities: Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, AccessibleThanks for your help in figuring these out!
yellowdog Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 4*, Chelsea, $151 - Amenities: Pet friendly, Boutique Hotel, Fitness Center, Restaurant(s), Business Center, High-Speed Internet Access, AccessibleI think there may be more amenities associated with this property. If you go back to HOTWIRE and click this offer to get to the details page, then on the details page click the 'See all' link under the amenities, do you see more than what you've posted above? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your purchases and searches.Yellowdog.

joshdacane Posted July 19, 2013 Author Report Posted July 19, 2013 Bidding help for NYC (multiple zones) 7/26-29 I'm looking at coming up to NY next weekend for a long weekend, and am considering bidding using Priceline (considering other options as well). I'm not overly picky but plan to bid at the 4 (or 4.5 star) level to be safe. Please note that there is a $144 for a 4-star on Priceline Express in one of my zones, currently, so I would want my upper limit to probably be $125 for a $4-star (the extra $20 is worth it to guarantee amenities). I would be willing to pay up to $175 for a 4.5 star. The areas that I prefer are: Soho-Tribeca, Chelsea, MSG, Hell's Kitchen. I would be okay with, but do not prefer: ESB, Midtown East, Midtown West. Are either of these numbers realistic (and what should my strategy be), or would I be better taking the Priceline Express deal? Thanks!
thereuare Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 The accessible amenities are part of the amenity set, please include them in your posts.Below is what i'm currently seeing when searching HOTWIRE for your dates and my comments/guesses for each are below the listing:3.5*, Midtown CentralHi-Speed Internet--> no guess3* ChelseaComplimentary Breakfast Pet Friendly Fitness Laundry Hi-Speed Internet --> Hampton Inn Manhattan - Chelsea4* ChelseaPet Friendly Boutique Fitness Restaurant Business Hi-Speed Internet Blind Accessible Deaf Accessible Travel Accessible Room Accessible Bathroom Accessible Handicapped Parking Roll-in Shower -->Hotel Indigo Chelsea New York Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. joshdacane Posted July 20, 2013 Author Report Posted July 20, 2013 For now, the HOTWIRE deals have disappeared (or the prices increased), so I am likely going to do PRICELINE. However, as I am not 100 percent confirmed on my trip yet, I've not planned my bidding yet.
thereuare Posted July 20, 2013 Report Posted July 20, 2013 Please wait until your plans are firm before asking for hotel IDs as the offers (and prices) for the hotels you ask about may not be the ones offered once you're ready to commit to a purchase, so it saves us from doing double the work. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Thanks.
