Hi, I'm new to posting but I've been looking around the site a bit. I'm trying to book a room for 9/19-9/21. I saw an offer on the priceline express deals for a 4 star strip north for $55 a night. Any idea what hotel this might be? From reading through the site, I'm guessing the only possibilities in this area would be the Mirage, TI, and Westin. Also, should I try NYOP first?

Welcome to BetterBidding!

For help with the PRICELINE EXPRESS offer please indicate the amenities that PRICELINE associates with the property offered.

As far as going with PRICELINE EXPRESS or bidding on PRICELINE, it depends upon what is important to you... do you want to see a user review rating of the hotel before your purchase and have a guess as to which hotel you may receive, are you trying to target/avoid any given hotel in the zone... OR is your goal the least expensive hotel at the star rating (or higher) that you designate.

Looking at the map it seems that there's only four 4* hotels on the "Las Vegas Strip North". Those hotels are the Mirage, Treasure Island, Caesar's Palace, and Westin. I wouldn't mind staying in either one of those and am looking for the best price. As far as the amenities, the express deal room for $55/night has the following: Indoor or Outdoor Pool, Free Parking, Restaurant, Business Center, Casino, Fitness Center. Also, the Resort Fee is $28/night which tells me it's probably Caesar's Palace. If that's the case, $55/night is a great deal considering the lowest rate for regular reservations is $190/night.

Decided not to use the PRICELINE EXPRESS deal after all. Went ahead and used the "Name your own price" for a 4* Vegas Strip North hotel. I placed several bids by using the location technique where you add other locations that don't have hotels in the same star level. Eventually after four tries I got a winning bid for $50/night plus the $5 "SUMMER" coupon. Normal price was $83/night. Total came out to $115.84 after taxes, excluding resort fee. Overall, it came out to a dollar less than a basic Harrah's room that I was going to reserve earlier.
