johnnj01 Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 I'm looking at 5 star hotels on the strip in Vegas. I am having problems identifying this particular hotel. I thought I narrowed it down to the Cosmopolitan, but I noticed the tax recovery charges and fees are really high (~$175 as opposed to ~$60 for the other 5-star hotels on the strip). The Strip - South area hotel, 5 starsHere are the amenities:Free Parking Casino Fitness Center Restaurant(s) Business Center Spa Services Accessible for the blind Accessible for the deaf Accessible path of travel In-room accessibility Accessible bathroom Handicapped parking Roll-in showerThe Hotwire price is $85 per night, compared to $167 from other sites. But the tax recovery charges and fees are astronomical at $174.06. Can anyone please help me ID this hotel? Thanks for the help :)

AaronJB Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 I'm seeing: Tax recovery charges & fees: $57.50When looking at this listing. Are you still seeing the same taxes/fees?This would be a possible match for the Cosmo.Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
johnnj01 Posted July 14, 2013 Author Report Posted July 14, 2013 There are two 5-star, South strip hotels. Did you try looking at the other one? I'm still getting $174.06 for the taxes and fees. Maybe it hates me :( lol
thereuare Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Unfortunately i don't have any insight into this one, but i do believe it's likely a property that has previously been reported but with a brand new amenity set. If you give it 2-5 days i think it's likely that either a new hotel, or this same hotel with a different amenity set, appears and we will more likely be able to identify it.Is there something in particular that you're looking for from this stay? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
