thereuare Posted July 14, 2013 Report Posted July 14, 2013 Lots of possibilities for this one but i don't think the Hilton Garden Inn is one of them as that chain does not typically include a free breakfast as part of the room rate.To confirm is there also a POOL amenity listed, making the complete list:Free Breakfast Free Internet Indoor or Outdoor Pool Free Parking Pets Allowed Restaurant Business Center Fitness Center If so, the Towneplace Suites, Cresthill Suites, Holiday Inn Express, and Fairfield Inn would all be among the likely candidates for this one, imo. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help. cruiseshmooz Posted July 15, 2013 Author Report Posted July 15, 2013 To Pool question: YesI deided to go for it. Got Cresthill Suites, a brand that is new to me. Then I went to Tripadvisor and was dismayed to read that this is a smoking hotel. Priceline should advise something that important. I would like to complain but don't know how to go about it.
yellowdog Posted July 15, 2013 Report Posted July 15, 2013 Thank you for sharing your result with the board!Sorry to see that you don't like the outcome. You can try to call the hotel and ask for a non smoking room to begin with. If no go contact PRICELINE customer Service and ask them to make the request on your behalf. cruiseshmooz Posted July 15, 2013 Author Report Posted July 15, 2013 Thank you for the good advice.I just called the hotel, spoke to a lovely young lady, Kara, and she said she would put in the request for N/S. I will update on our return! For the 2nd stay, we just booked the Fairfield, which we know...to be safe! I tried to go to the Marriott site through you, but couldn't find it.
cruiseshmooz Posted August 8, 2013 Author Report Posted August 8, 2013 Update:The people at the front desk were very helpful. We had a non-smoking room and there hadn't been a recent pet in it. We arrived tired, didn't feel like going to a restaurant and the girl at the front desk gave us yogourts. There is always coffee and they also had chocolate chip cookies. My only complaint was that the room could have been cleaner. It needed a good vacuuming.
