Priceline Hotel: Bidding help La Jolla

I am looking to get a 3* hotel in the La Jolla area of San Diego for the dates listed above. I have no idea of price range where I should start. Can you give your suggestion of a good starting point and bidding strategy for this?

I would like to get the room for under $100 with tax if possible. So I will say my max bid would be $80. Do you think that is possible for these dates and location?

I think you're going to need to be closer to $100 before fees/taxes then after, but if you want to give it a try:

When bidding 3* in San Diego you have ONE re-bid zones. If you're not familiar with re-bidding please read Priceline Re-Bidding Explained and feel free to ask questions and/or confirm your re-bid zones with the board before proceeding.

Select 3* La Jolla...

Bid $75, if rejected add re-bid zone...

Bid $80

La Jolla might or might not work for us. I will update this thread further if we bid in this area.
