Priceline Hotel: San Diego

Hi to all. I will like to ask you for recommendations on where to stay in San Diego.

I am travelling with my family, wife and a 2yr old, and was hopping to get a Beach front property while I work at the Convention Center last week of September.

I think Mission Bay is a good option but is there any other one? Coronado maybe? I will have to commute downtown everyday unless I make them travel from a hotel near downtown/convention center area but I don't think that will be convenient for them.

Well also if I could add: car rental vs city transit?

What are your date/s of travel and desired budget per night/star rating? Coronado is generally a more expensive option but it depends on date/s.

With PRICELINE there is no way to guarantee beachfront, but you can look for a beachfront listing when searching on HOTWIRE - look for "beachfront" as one of the amenities.

Thank you for your reply. I am going September 24 to September 29. In terms of money not really concerned but less than 200 a night and 3 1/2 + star rating. Txs
