amitsinghosu Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 I'm looking for NYC (Brooklyn area) deal for Aug31- Sep2. I'm choosing Brooklyn area since the parking is super expensive in city area. I'm flexible in regards to any NYC area as long as parking is reasonable (<$20-$25 per day). Express deals for NYC (Brooklyn) shows the following.1) Brookly 4 star $1672) Brookly 3 star $1283) Brooklyn 2.5 stars $114Any guesses what these hotels might be. Thanks in advance.
thereuare Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 Welcome to BetterBidding! If you haven't yet please start by reading your messages. You can likely find parking in NYC for $20-$30/day as long as you're wiling to park at a private lot and not at the hotel's garage... do you want to do this and stay in Manhattan or do you prefer Brooklyn? What is your expected budget for this trip? What is your desired star rating... what type of hotels do you typically stay in? Would you goal be to stay at a higher rated hotel for a bit more money OR stay at a less expensive hotel for less? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. amitsinghosu Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 I'm open to staying in Manhattan or any other location as long as its closer to manhattan.Parking rate of $20-$30 is reasonable. My expected budget is $300 for 2 night stays (excl. parking). I typically stay in 2.5+ stars hotels.
thereuare Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 Is that $150/nite room rate or all-in including fees, taxes, etc?If you can get a higher rated hotel near the top of your budget would you desire that or a less expensive lower rated hotel? From what direction are you heading to NYC from? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. amitsinghosu Posted July 12, 2013 Author Report Posted July 12, 2013 $150 is all including fees+taxes - discounts..:)I'm heading to NYC from washington DC area.
thereuare Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 Have you considered taking the bus (very cheap) or train from DC to NYC... this would eliminate any parking issue as well as save you money on gas and tolls.PRICELINE EXPRESS has a 3* hotel in the ESB zone for $119/nite. There are no amenities showing, but using the link and discount code in my signature brings your all-in rate to $280/nite and has you directly in midtown. As well, if you consider the bus/train option you may not have to worry about parking OR there are other parking options en-route... park at a train station along the way that has cheaper parking than NYC and take the train for the rest of the way into the city)Let us know your thoughts if you think the PRICELINE EXPRESS property will work fro your needs, or you can also try bidding on PRICELINE, and we'll take it from there. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. amitsinghosu Posted July 12, 2013 Author Report Posted July 12, 2013 This is very helpful. Do you know what hotel that could be in ESB?
thereuare Posted July 12, 2013 Report Posted July 12, 2013 With no amenities showing i don't have a guess as to which property this may be, but at $117/nite ($111 with the discount link in my signature) this would appear to be a very good value (even if it is over rated by a half or a full star). The next cheapest hotel within Manhattan is a 2* at $130 in the UWS zone which is a lower star rating, more expensive, and not as central of a location. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know how it goes or if we can be of further help.
