RVD26 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Posted July 10, 2013 Looking for a 3-star and up hotel in downtown Austin from 11/8/2013 to 11/10/2013.There is a festival happening during this weekend.I am already up to $175/night in terms of bidding. Should I wait or keep bidding now?
AaronJB Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 There is no way to know if rates will come down closer to your stay - this is discussed in greater detail in the FAQ. If there is a sizable festival happening on these date/s, rates very well ay stay around the same levels or head higher. What would be your desired budget per night for this stay?Thank you for using the board's HOTWIRE or PRICELINE links to start your purchases and searches.
RVD26 Posted July 11, 2013 Author Report Posted July 11, 2013 Well, I ended up expanding the area to Central Austin and was able to get a room for $75/night at the Habitat Suites. My budget was under $200/night.I would have liked to be in Downtown Austin, but it looks like rooms are filling up fast.
thereuare Posted July 11, 2013 Report Posted July 11, 2013 Congratulations on your success! For about a third of the price this looks like a good compromise between location and value... hopefully you can make it work for your needs without too much inconvenience.Thank you for sharing your win with the board and helping us add this property to the Priceline Hotel List. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases. Enjoy your stay. Please use this HOTWIRE and these PRICELINE LINKS: HOTELS, CAR RENTALS, and AIRFARE to begin your travel purchases
