Should I raise my bidding price? I would like to stay at the Venetian, Palazzo, Wynn, or Encore. Thanks.I am booking for August 9th to August 11th.
thereuare Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 Also tried bidding zone 7 (Las Vegas Strip North) and got the following for $75/night:"5 star luxury hotel, las vegas strip north area"guaranteed amenities: indoor or outdoor pool, casino, restaurant, business centerguest score 8/10 or higherMy guess is that you can not get a 5* hotel in the Strip North zone at this price... if your bid was accepted you would already know the name of the hotel and your purchase would be complete. More likely you entered your bid amount and then clicked the PREVIEW OFFER screen and are assuming that this is confirming your hotel at this price, but this is just asking you to review the information before entering your credit card information and PRICELINE seeing if they can find a hotel to accept your offer this price. Is my assessment correct... or did you place this bid and it was rejected?Any ideas which hotels these are?For the PRICELINE 'bidding' hotel the amenities shown are amenities that are applicable to all 5* hotels in the zone, so there is no way to guess as to which one you may receive. At this point in the bidding process, PRICELINE has not even checked inventory for your dates.Best guess for the PRICELINE EXPRESS property would be the Palazzo. Assuming we're correct, current rates at this property are $264/nite, so $149 would be a very good deal, imo. Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.Let us know what you decide and how it goes or if we can be of further help. chrise92 Posted July 10, 2013 Author Report Posted July 10, 2013 Thank you! You are right, I had not even placed the bid yet, just entered in my bid and assumed that the next page meant I had placed it. It's been a while since I've done this so I forgot how the steps work.It looks like the priceline express deal is now $171/night. I will try bidding and hope for a better deal. I'm using the PRICELINE link you posted. Thanks again. Will post here if I need more help.
