Hotwire Hotel: 4,5* Midtown East -Waldorf???i hate it! help me

i'm trying to get a hotel 4,5* in midtown east. But I hate Waldorf Astoria. Waldorf has very low rates in Trip advisor.

The hotel suprise hotel that i saw in hotwire - sep 8th to 14th:

I don't believe this is the Waldorf... best guess for this property would be the Benjamin, with the Omni Berkshire being a distant second possibility.

I'd agree that the Benjamin would be likely and the Omni would be a lesser possibility.

Do you think is this New York Palace? Because is the only one hotel that doesn't apears on the standard rate hotel list.

Bejamin; Woldorf astoria; Omini all those match standard HOTWIRE rates.

the old price is the same to 509usd the new price is 324usd

This latest HOTWIRE property is the same that you previously asked about, so my guess would remain the same.

Both the Benjamin and the Omni have a 4.5/5.0 TA rating so this information doesn't help choose between these two, BUT the Waldorf currently has a 4.0/5.0 TA rating so you should safely be able to avoid this one.

I think i know which hotel is this...

THE NEW YORK PALACE!

The price for this hotel is 517/520 usd - depends which site your are looking. This price appears on the red Square above the discount price in the hotwire.

this is the only hotel from our list that doesn't appear in the regular price hotwire list.

i discover another thing. Every hotel that has an suprise price doesn't appear in the regular price list.

Omni ; Waldorf; Benjamin - those 3 hotel are on the regular list.

The crossed out rate shown by HOTWIRE is not necessarily the rate of the hotel offered by HOTWIRE, but rather an average rate of hotels in the zone at that star rating.

My guess continues to be the Benjamin... with a distant secondary guess of the Omni.

From your first post it appears your goal was to avoid the Waldorf, which based upon the TA rating seems that you can be assured of for this purcahse... so with a 'known' 4.5/5.0 TA rating, this would appear to be a very highly rated property, would you be happy with any of the properties guessed (Benjamin, Omni (our guesses) or The Palace (your guess))?

I didn't try to finish the transaction about the secret hotel hate, because every body here thinks that that hotel is Benjamin. But yesterday and today I see a lower price for benjamin in Expedia.

Expedia has a total amount for 6 nights - 2330,00 usd and Hotwire total amount for this secret hotel is 2410,00.

Do you still think that is Benjamin???? If it is... we have a problem, because hotwire says: lower price garantee...!!! But i'm not seeing this garantee if it it is Benjamin! Do you understand..Maybe this is not the benjamin!Another Clue!

What do you think about this!???

On Expedia i'm seeing an average room rate of $377/nite and an all-in rate of $2631... on HOTWIRE for the 4.5* property i'm seeing a room rate of $320/nite and an all-in rate of $2410.

Regardless, if you have found a cheaper rate on Expedia just purchase it there (please our Expedia link to to do so) as you don't gain anything more from their Best Rate Guarantee... they simply match the better price, so why go thru the hassle of making a BRG claim and have the possibility of not having it honored.

No... the crossed out price is not the retail rate of the hotel offered, but rather the average rate of hotels at this star rating in the zone for your dates.

While we can't see the name of the hotel either, i still feel confident in my guess.
