Priceline Hotel: Need help with 5* Las Vegas South Strip Hotel

Through priceline with name your own price for a 5 star hotel in the south strip region, I bid 120 and was denied, 125 denied, 130 denied, 135 denied, and 137 denied. With tax and all I am already up to 156 with the 5% coupon credit. Please help me with bidding for this as a recent post states they received a 5* south strip VENETICAN win for $135 a night and another person stated the won with $119. Thank you for your help.

I am planning to travel for the night of Oct 12th-Oct 13th, which is a Sat-Sunday. I was hoping to not spend over 160 MAX for the night for a 5* Strip South/North hotel. preferably Strip South and either the Venetian or the Pallazo :) Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

Rates in Las Vegas fluctuate more often then any other market in the US, but at the moment you know that a $137/nite bid is not enough for this nite... my guess is that at current rates you will likely need to be around the $170-$190 range to be successful for a 5* hotel in the Strip North zone.

You can choose to:

• increase your bid
• lower your star rating
• wait it out and hope for lower prices in the weeks ahead

Nobody can say if rates will come down, or move even higher between now and your trip, but it's not uncommon for it to take more than a $140 bid to win a Saturday nite this time of year.
