Hotwire Hotel: 4* Reno (North Lake Tahoe) Village at Squaw Valley

Just bought a 4* condo from Hotwire for $134 for Sunday, January 22, 2006 for one night.

Received the Village at Squaw. Hadn't seen that hotel in previous posts before.

The eight "icon" amenities listed were Resort, Slopeside, Fully-equipped kitchen, Restaurants, Fitness Center, Free Parking, 24 hour front desk and high-speed internet access. Clicking on "full amenities list" brought up these additional entries: Golf Nearby, Tennis Nearby, Laundry Facilities (self-service) and Suite.

The property also has 8 jacuzzi's... I was surprised it wasn't listed as an amenity.

Looking at The Village at Squaw Valley, the cheapest rate for my dates is currently $279. It looks like they have 1,2 and 3 bedroom condos.

I originally thought I might be getting a condo at Northstar and that Hotwire had possibly upped the rating from 3* to 4* because of Northstar's new construction. That, or I thought I might get a condo at the Resort at Squaw Creek since they just did a condo conversion and I thought that might have lowered the hotel's rating from 4.5* to 4*. But I got neither.... and am *very* pleasantly surprised that I got this hotel as it is directly attached to the Cable Car lift at Squaw. :)

WHOOPS! The date should be 1/22/06, not 1/22/05. I'm not sure how to edit the subject line of my post ... can I? Or can someone change the date for me?
