Hi, I am new here, and was wondering if anyone could help me before my first bid!

I am looking for 1 room from Aug 29nd to Sept 6, in NYC.

was thinking about luxury hotel 5* at Central Park South or near by

How much would be a realistic price? I would love examples if you have any...

And any other tip to help me get the best possible room would be great!!

At the 4* or higher levels in NYC the CPS zone is one of the most expensive in the city and you're likely looking at $300+ for a 5* hotel in this zone for your dates.
