Hotwire Hotel: Using PL or Hotwire double occupancy

Hi

Going to NYC beginning of Aug 2013. Want a room for three people with two beds. Both sites seem to be for only two people/1 bed? So, I can' t use these sites? Has anyone used the sites for my situation?

Also, is it better to wait until a week before (better deals) or safer to do it now?

Neither service guarantees specific bedding, although PRICELINE only guarantees double occupancy/1 bed - this is particularly true in NYC.

HOTWIRE guarantees some form of bedding for the amount of people you indicate - if you indicate 4, you should get some form of bedding (2 beds, 1 + rollaway, 1 + sofabed) for the entire party.

What are your date/s of travel? What zone/s would be of interest? Additionally, what would be your desired star rating/budget?

Would the possibility of one bed plus a pullout sofabed or rollaway brought into the room be acceptable for your needs?
