Hotwire Hotel: 4* Vancouver (Downtown - Coal Harbour - Stanley Park) Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel

Hi, I started my HOTWIRE search w/ a link from this site.

I'm looking at 7/12-7/14 for a 4* hotel for the Richmond/Vancouver Airport area, but oddly, the only amenities it's showing is "Pet Friendly." I do need a pet friendly hotel, but that being the ONLY amenity is new to me, especially for a 4* hotel. I even went to "book now" and "show all amenities" but "pet friendly" is still the only amenity listed.

Any ideas?

Can never be too confident with only one amenity showing (although it does look good with a 4.5/5.0 TA rating), but the Hotel at River Rock (8888 River Road) would be my best guess for this one.

Hi, thanks for the response. Since it's at $126/night and there's a $150 4* in the Vancouver Downtown - Coal Harbour - Stanley Park area, I'm now considering that one. Should I start a new thread since it's a different area?

For now I'll keep it in this thread. The amenities shown are:

Pet friendly

Fitness Center

Restaurant(s)

Business Center

High-Speed Internet Access

Accessible for the blind

Accessible path of travel

In-room accessibility

Accessible bathroom

Handicapped parking

It's especially important for me to be able to ID the hotel on this trip because I need it to be pet friendly, and certain hotels, while they do accept pets (hence why Hotwire lists as pet friendly), have other requirements, such as limited pet rooms, a fee (which could get high depending on hotel), or even that they don't accept pets when not booking directly through the hotel. So I want to be able to call the possible hotels and find out their policies before risking a Hotwire purchase.

My guess is that this is the Delta Vancouver Suites Hotel showing a limited number of its amenities. However if this hotel is of interest this is how i would play it for increased confidence...

Change your search to 2adults/1child and a 'new' 4* hotel appears in the zone for the same price (your price may change by a dollar or two):

Pet Friendly

Suite

Fitness

Restaurant

Business

Hi-Speed Internet

Blind Accessible

Travel Accessible

Room Accessible

Bathroom Accessible

Handicapped Parking

The above matches previous reports for the Delta Vancouver Suites and that would be my best guess for this one, and i would try to purchase as per this amenity set if you're able to get it to appear as such (if 2adults/1child doesn't make it appear try 2a/2c)

You were absolutely correct. :) I did as you suggested and searched (with a HOTWIRE link from this board!) the same thing but with 1 child added and got what you got. Whew!

For anyone else who might be interested, the Delta Vancouver Suites ARE pet friendly, you just have to call them after your win and let them know you will be bringing a pet. There's a $35 one-time fee per pet per stay.
