Priceline Hotel: 3.5* DC (White House - Downtown) Rouge, a Kimpton Hotel

I am very pleased to report my win! I have worked for about 2 weeks trying to win 2 rooms for 6 nights. That's not always easy to do when bidding for those needs in Washington DC.

I bid for a 4-star Downtown DC and Capitol Hill Convention Center up to $124 but failed on all rebid zones.

I then always closed Priceline and started over trying for a 3-1/2 star hotel in the same 2 zones with a starting bid at $85. I used my 4 rebid zones and raised the bid each time and on my final zone I bid $114. I was awarded the Rouge, a Kimpton Hotel at that bid and I also wanted to report I used the 5% discount which paid for my insurance fees.

The Rouge is rated 28 of 126 hotels in Washington DC and has a higher rating than most of the 4-star hotels.

I'm excited with this win and always love winning better deals by naming my own price. I have always been successful with the exception of once in New York City. My reservation price was better than I could do on Priceline, but that was a rare time for sure.
