Bodri Posted July 4, 2013 Report Posted July 4, 2013 As a first timer to this site and use of Hotwire and Priceline I would appreciate some help on what I could expect as winning bid on Priceline for our first trip to Hawaii. Ideally I would like at least a 3 star hotel in Waikiki Central (4nights), in Hilo (6 nights) and Kona (6 nights). As I have only booked my return flights into and out of Honolulu and not the inter-island flights, I have flexibility in changing the number of nights in each location if that would help secure a better deal. The dates of travel are March 17 to April 3, 2014.I have read the various sections on this site for tips, and understand that I should start bidding early. Any thoughts on where I should start bidding for each of the locations?ThanksBodri

Bodri Posted July 4, 2013 Author Report Posted July 4, 2013 Thanks for the reply. My maximum for one night would be no more than USD100 + taxes and get in the Waikiki City or Beach area. I really do not know if this is realistic as I do not know of the cost of hotels in the US being from Australia.I received an email from Priceline with some express deals for a 3 star in Waikiki Marina area for my dates (Mar 17 to Mar 21) of USD91. It is not my ideal area but the price seems fairly good.Maybe you could help me identify the hotel on this express offer. Details are:Waikiki Marina 3 star $91 save 45% or moreGuest rating 7.0Free InternetSwiming PoolRestaurantBusiness CentreFitness SpaThanks in advance for your help.Bodri

Why wouldn't you first try bidding on PRICELINE for something within your budget and in your first choice of zones? Please use the PRICELINE and HOTWIRE links on the board to begin your travel purchases.
