Priceline Hotel: Not a lot of luck - Please help. 30/6-01/7 (Los Angeles Area multiple zones)

Hi,

I'm not a new user (lost my email / account)

I have used this site and quite a long time user of Priceline.

I have an upcoming trip to LA for 2 days and would love to get my 'normal' winning hotel - Crown Plaza in Redondo Beach (3.5 star) for between $70-100 per night.

I have had no luck up to $118, including adding other zones (Hollywood, Manhattan Beach, Santa Monica) for same star level...

Is this an exceptionally busy period?? any bidding advice? Should I wait until closer to score a deal or keep trying everyday and hope it drops?

Any help would be appreciated greatly!
