mimicry Posted September 24, 2005 Report Posted September 24, 2005 Just booked the 3.5* Harbor Court Hotel in San Francisco's Embarcadero area for $108 per night 11/12-11/16 (4 nights)Amenities listed: Boutique, RestaurantNote Hi Speed Internet Access was not listed although this hotel states that Wi-Fi is freely available. I've never been on a wireless connection wasn't considered high speed. But I also learned from Better Bidding that complete amenities are not always listed on Hotwire. This hotel was very easy to spot after studying Better Bidding's Hotwire hotel list for SF. By using this board in conjunction with customer ratings sites (TripAdvisor), I gathered a wealth of information as I searched SF for my "sweet spot" - right hotel at the right price. I'm very pleased with my $108 rate. Lowest I saw published was $170. I did not attempt any Priceline action. Mainly because I was targeting this specific hotel only and it seems like rooms given to Priceline customers often turn out to be problematic. :) I clicked thru Savings Barn!
